   Overview

What is the ISVMA?

The Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA) predicts, monitors and confronts issues that affect the licenses of Illinois veterinarians. Nearly 2100 ISVMA member veterinarians depend upon the representation and services provided by the ISVMA. Their participation ensures the continued strength of the veterinary profession in Illinois.

Board of Directors

ISVMA's board of directors functions as the administrative body of the association. The board of directors consists of a president, president-elect, immediate past president, treasurer and elected members from each constituent region. The executive director serves as an ex-officio member without a vote. The board of directors meets at least quarterly.

Committees

ISVMA committees include legislative, membership, convention planning, wellness, and others. Let us know which committee you'd like to join.

ISVMA Regions

ISVMA has seven constituent regions whose geographical boundaries are determined by the board of directors. Each region elects one representative to the ISVMA board for each 125 ISVMA members or fraction thereof within its geographical boundaries.

The constitution is the fundamental governing document for the ISVMA.

Membership

Your membership makes it possible for the ISVMA to advocate for the veterinary profession and to bring you a variety of continuing education programs, newsletters, and resources.

Sponsored Benefits

A variety of sponsored benefits are designed to help veterinary practices operate more efficiently and increase profits! Programs include discount merchant services (credit card processing), debt collection, check recovery and an online veterinary pharmacy.

IVMF

The Illinois Veterinary Medical Foundation provides scholarships and helps ISVMA develop charitable programs related to the veterinary medical profession.
