About Us

Join the Auxiliary!

Active membership is available to members of the immediate family of veterinarians who are in good standing with the ISVMA.

Associate membership is available for those who are interested in the Auxiliary but are not eligible for active membership. This category of membership affords you the opportunity to participate within the structure of the organization.

The Auxiliary is involved in a number of projects that support veterinary medicine in Illinois and strengthen opportunities for communication among those who are associated with professional veterinary medicine.

Maintain a scholarship fund that provides $1000 scholarships for students at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
Encourage members to SUPPORT National Pet Week, an annual event that focuses on animal care and welfare.
Provide awards for the Illinois Science Fair winner and the 4-H Veterinary Project winner.
Distribute educational pamphlets and books to schools and libraries through our members in their communities.
Publish and distribute the VET SET newsletter for all members.
