buttonI live in a Chicago suburb and am looking for an associate position in a high-quality practice with a congenial, team-oriented atmosphere.  To give you some background, I graduated from Cornell with my DVM in 2007.  After spending two years as a small animal practitioner working with dogs and cats, I began a 12-month Internship specializing in avian/exotics medicine at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. While I was focused on these critters, I made sure my Internship included rotations in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine. Most recently I worked as an overnight emergency doctor on a service that's overseen by a boarded criticalist.  My strengths as a veterinarian include excellent people skills, strong Internal medicine skills, some ultrasound experience, the ability to address emergency situations and routine surgical experience as well as comfort diagnosing and treating cats and dogs along with avian and exotics patients.  In addition, I have two publications in peer-reviewed journals and have presented at an established exotics small mammal conference.  If you feel it would be helpful to discuss your opportunity further, I would be happy to talk with you over the phone or in-person about how we could work together and foster a mutually beneficial relationship. Feel free to contact me by email- hgranson@yahoo.com   or phone   845-521-9641.
