Forty-two to Forty-five dollars per hour.  Examines, vaccinates and treats animals owned by individuals authorized medical treatment in DOD facilities. Maintains proper and legible animal health records using the SOAP format and prepares reports as necessary. Explains medical findings and prescribes treatments to animal owners. Provides emergency treatment for military working dogs, if they are presented for treatment when military veterinarians are not available. Conducts physical examinations prior to issuance of health certificates and release of rabies quarantine suspects. Performs and interprets laboratory, radiological and diagnostic procedures. Provides veterinary training to assigned military and NAF animal technicians.  Veterinary Medical Degree. IL Veterinary Medical License. Seeking IL USDA Accreditation.
