Staff Veterinarian in Large Animal Veterinary Anesthesia and Pain Management
The University of Illinois is seeking a full-time Staff Veterinarian specializing in Large Animal Anesthesia and Pain Management. The successful candidate must have a DVM or equivalent degree and clinical experience with equine medicine, surgery, or anesthesia. On-the-job training in large animal anesthesia will be provided with the support of veterinary anesthesiologists.Duties: Provide anesthesia and pain management for equine and farm species. Oversee large animal anesthesia operations alongside a VTS-certified technician. Participate in on-call large animal anesthesia service and provide clinical instruction to residents, interns, students, and technicians.
Salary: The salary range is $105,000–$115,000, depending on qualifications. A full benefits package is included. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
Starting Date: The anticipated start date is January 1, 2025.
