What is the ISVMA?

The Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA) predicts, monitors and confronts issues that affect the professional practice and licenses of Illinois veterinarians. Approximately 3000 ISVMA member veterinarians, veterinary students and Certified Veterinary Technicians depend upon the representation and services provided by the ISVMA. Their participation ensures the continued strength of the veterinary profession in Illinois.

Quote of the Century

In 1930, Dr. C. Hastings of Williamsville, IL said in his ISVMA Presidential Address, “You can say what you want about keeping associations out of politics, but the man out of politics is not living in the present age. This is the age of group effort.”
Dr. Hastings words ring just as true today. Membership support of state associations and the AVMA has never been more important than it is today.

ISVMA provides a number of continuing education meetings each year as well as its annual convention, where members can obtain 20 CEs per year. In addition, ISVMA manages regional VMA meetings and provides the approved CE hours for them.

The organization also offers a number of member benefits as well as sponsored benefits to veterinary professionals.
