The Illinois Veterinary Medical Foundation
The Illinois Veterinary Medical Foundation (IVMF) provides scholarships and helps ISVMA develop charitable programs related to the veterinary medical profession.
Scholarships to Class Representatives to the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association: Four veterinary students receive scholarships as a result of their interest in supporting the profession through involvement in organized veterinary medicine. These scholarships are provided to the ISVMA Class Representatives in each of the four classes. Each student receives $4000 over the course of their veterinary school education.
Kidzeum of Health and Science, Springfield, Illinois: The foundation has pledged $1,500 per year over four years to fund the interactive ISVMA Pet Clinic Exhibit at this children’s museum, which is dedicated to nurturing health awareness, encouraging earth-friendly choices and increasing science education through innovative, interactive programs and hands-on exhibits.
Support of the Veterinary Heritage Museum: The museum provides a place for U of I College of Veterinary Medicine students to study surrounded by hundreds of artifacts, research and historical documents that chronicle the everyday efforts and extraordinary achievements of Illinois’ veterinary practitioners, educators and researchers.
